Therapy & Assessment Services in the DC Metro Area

In my therapeutic work I focus on forming a collaborative alliance with my clients. Flexibility, openness, and an appreciation of context are guiding principles I use when formulating clinical impressions. I believe the most effective therapy involves clients as active participants in the treatment process. Consequently, I place great value on the clients’ perception of their  problems, and I acknowledge my clients as experts on their own experiences.

Working within an integrative psychotherapy framework, I feel comfortable allowing the process to be guided by what clients bring to the session. I utilize concepts from a variety of traditional theories, e.g., experiential, cognitive behavioral, attachment, and psychodynamic therapy as well as principles of Eastern theories of mindfulness.

I have experience in treating people with a variety of concerns, among them:

- Anxiety
- Trauma
- Depression
- Stress Management
- Anger Management
- Coping with Memory Decline             - Psychosocial Interventions for MS
- Chronic Pain and Illness                    - Issues of College & Graduate School
- Attention Deficit/
    Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
